The 2024 Tour of Shanghai New Towns concluded successfully after an intense three-day competition. This unique cycling race spanned five of Shanghai’s emerging urban centers—Jiading, Qingpu, Songjiang, Fengxian, and Nanhui—marking the first time a sporting event has been jointly hosted across these new towns. With over 132 cyclists representing more than 20 countries and regions, the race was both a thrilling athletic competition and a showcase of Shanghai’s vibrant cityscapes.

One of the event’s highlights was the scenic diversity experienced across the three stages. Stage 1 kicked off at the Shanghai International Circuit in Jiading with a 111-kilometer circuit race.
